Drama aside, I had a blast at Otakon this year :"D It was really nerve-wracking, it being my first Artist's Alley. But, it was inspiring to be surrounded by so many amazing artists who were also so nice *A*
The Breakdown:
Thursday (8/7): Got into the airport and took a cab to the hotel. Met up with

and

and hung around for a little while until

showed up with

and checked us all in. We all dragged our stuff up to the room and relaxed while waiting for

and Steph to show up. They arrived a few hours later, and then we ate and went to go pick up our passes.
When we got into the city we passed by the BCC and were worried because the line was
insanely long! But it went super fast when we got into it and it only took about half an hour tops to get our Otakon passes and our AA ribbons. The staff was quick and efficient and the AA people were really nice :")
We didn't hang around too long and headed back for the hotel. Once there,

,

, Steph and I ran upstairs while

and

stopped at the front desk to ask for extra blankets and towels. Once upstairs, the four of us that had gone ahead broke out the ingredients to make a
whipped cream pie.

used up the whole whipped cream can in the pie tin XD We waited for

to walk in and when she did, all of us shouted "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" and

pied her in the face XDDD It was really hilarious and after

smushed it around in her hair and took a shower, we all ate cake, goofed off some more, and finally hit the sack.
Friday (8/8): First morning of Otakon and we were so wired! Last minute preparations and changing into costume.

got in from the airport that morning. We got to the convention center around 11am because we were slow and confused XD But, we got everything set up and prepared for our first morning in the AA. It was so exciting to see all my SCADdies together again <3
Altogether, it was:

and Steph. We all sat really close to each other and it was pretty awesome!
Didn't sell too many prints this day, but I ended up with lots of commissions. :")
Got to see a TON of amazing cosplay, especially lots of Gurren Lagann people. Near the end of the night, a friend of ours stopped by and said they were giving out GIANT GL posters at the Bandai booth in the dealer's room (which was right next door).

and I freaked out and
ran to the starting-to-close Dealer's room, convinced the staff at the door to let us in through the exit, ran to Bandai booth all the way at the other end (and got told to stop running so then we fast-walked XD), breathlessly spazzed at the staff guy there and got our posters. We proceeded to dance and yell joyously and the Otakon staff member nearby laughed and said something like "Congratulations!" It was pretty epic overall :"P We got back into the AA and I gave

her poster as thanks for watching our table when we ran off XD Nothing else exciting really happened for the rest of the night and we left around... 10:30pm, I think, and took the Light Rail back to the hotel to conk out.
Saturday (8/9): Second morning of Otakon! Got up a little later than we wanted to, but ended up getting ready in time to get our things together, change into cosplay, and get to the AA by 10-ish. Re-setup our stuff, sold a few prints almost as soon as we sat down, and gave commissions to people who came to pick them up. Recognized

who I hadn't seen in a couple years (at least!) when she stopped by and we chatted a little, catching up 8D Saw lots more familiar faces afterwards (mostly friends from high school) and it was nice to see so many amongst the crowds at Otakon. Especially my friend Olivia, who I hadn't seen in about a year and a half ;A; She hung out with us when not perusing the Dealer's room and watching some stuff at the anime panels.
Took a break close to dinner-ish time to walk around for a bit and said hi to

and oggled at the art she had up. Wish I had some spare cash at the time to get one of her gorgeous prints, but hopefully I'll have some at AWA :"D
Left the AA that night a little early to get back to the hotel in time for pizza, Batman-animation watching, and of course, crashing. It was fun fitting, what... 8 people in our hotel room? XD
Sunday (8/10): Last day in the AA, took it a little easy getting there and setting up. Ran around to do some print trading (which I wish I hadn't been so shy to go and ask before, everyone was so nice!) I print traded with the lovely

,

,

, and

. Some awesome people I'd met at the airport stopped by one last time to say goodbye before I packed up to go.

and I left the AA around 1pm, got our stuff into Olivia's car and headed to her house in Northern VA.

picked up

after we got there and then Olivia, her sister (Ayn), and I hung out for the first time in like a year and a half. It was so amazing being with the two of them again <3
Hung out at their place until Wednesday (8/13), flew home that night, ate, and crashed.
And that is the report! A huge huge huge
Thank You to everyone who stopped by to get a print, some buttons, or even just to say hello. A special thank you to everyone on here who's left a comment and watched the Otakon progress from the beginning of summer. I wouldn't have been able to do it without your awesome support
